Shahid Rafiq has been working in the hearing industry for over a decade. He began his career at Kuwait University medical school where he was first exposed to hearing healthcare through his work producing and repairing hearing aids for a manufacturer in Canada.

It was during this time Shahid recognized his true passion to work directly with people with hearing loss. He went on to complete the Hearing Aid Practitioner program at Grant McEwan University in 2006 and has been serving clients as a Hearing Healthcare Professional at Hear for Life ever since. By combining his healthcare and technical experience, Shahid is able to help those with hearing loss in the best possible way.

Shahid continues to serve his clients with a commitment to care, exceptional service and professional advice each day, and remains dedicated to the provision of better hearing. His favourite part of his role as a hearing professional is seeing the smiles on his clients’ faces and ultimately feels this is what makes the job worth it every day.

Shahid holds a Hearing Aid Practitioner diploma from Grant McEwan University and is certified in cerumen management. He is a member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario. Shahid is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Arabic.

During his spare time, Shahid enjoys working in his backyard, fishing and trying out restaurants and foods from all over the world with his wife and daughter. Shahid is also committed to promoting hearing healthcare in underdeveloped countries and has travelled abroad to fit those in need with hearing aids.
