Inlet Hearing

With over 20 years of experience owning and operating her own business in the health and wellness profession, and having graduated with honours as a fully registered hearing instrument practitioner, Cynthia is well suited to head up the team at Inlet Hearing.

An important moment for Cynthia was learning how much her grandmother struggled with hearing loss. Her grandmother expressed how not being able to hear caused her to feel excluded from conversations and left her feeling lonely, even when her family was around. This was what first brought to light for Cynthia how hearing loss could have such a negative effect on people’s lives.

After volunteering at several events in the hearing industry and seeing what a profound improvement better hearing made in the lives of these people, she knew she wanted to help people improve their hearing. Cynthia is passionate about her chosen field and can’t imagine a more rewarding career.

Yiwan Woo received her master's degree in audiology in 2014 from UBC and started her career in the East Kootenays.

Yiwan returned home in 2017 and continued to work with the adult population. With her client-centered approach, she is passionate about empowering clients in their hearing health journey and improving their quality of life.

She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
