Registered Hearing Instrument Specialist
Elan Feldman is a Registered Hearing Instrument Specialist at our Glenbrook clinic. Elan grew up surrounded by family members with hearing loss, which created within him a sense of responsibility to help individuals with hearing loss. His interest in the ear and how it functions combined with his ambition to help those in need, make him an exceptional hearing practitioner.
Elan completed the Hearing Aid Practitioner program at Grant MacEwan University in 2008 and has been a member of the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta (CHAPA) since 2009. Elan also has advanced training in implantable Lyric hearing devices and cerumen management.
We are proud to have Elan as part of our hearing healthcare team. We are sure you will find his easy going personality and kindness a pleasure when sitting down to discuss your hearing needs at your next appointment.
Carrie Scarff,
R.AUD, PHD
Registered Audiologist
Dr. Carrie Scarff completed her Master of Science degree in Audiology at Dalhousie University and her clinical audiology internships at Georgetown Medical Centre in Washington DC and The IWK Grace hospital in Halifax.
She obtained her PhD and PostDoc in auditory neuroscience at the University of Calgary in the area of brain plasticity and hearing research. Her peer-reviewed publications include early identification of hearing loss, tinnitus and auditory cortical plasticity following hearing loss.
Dr. Scarff's hearing healthcare interests include common causes of hearing loss, new technology, assistive devices, effective communication for those with hearing loss, as well as tips and techniques to help keep the brain healthy.
