Karina Izbizky joined the EHC team in 2008 and demonstrates not just a desire to help improve a person's hearing, but also to improve their ability to communicate with their friends and loved ones. Having a family member with a hearing impairment motivated Karina at a very early age to work in the hearing healthcare field. She understands first-hand the impact that communication challenges can have on a person's quality of life if left untreated.
Karina earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Iberoamerica University of Columbia. Karina has worked extensively with the Deaf and hard of hearing community, where she gained vast knowledge and experience in counseling and rehabilitation for those with hearing impairments or hearing loss. She has received her Level 6 in American Sign Language and is a full member of the Manitoba Speech and Hearing Association and the Canadian Academy of Audiology.
